Hello, I am Mrs. Mandy McNamara Kletrovetz. My students call me Mrs. McNamara or Mrs. Mac. I have been privileged to work in the district my entire career as a middle school teacher. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Ohio University in Hearing and Speech Sciences. After working on my Master of Science in Audiology, I realized my love for science was the passion that I wanted to follow and share with middle school students. I graduated with my Master of Education degree from The Ohio State University in 2002 after student teaching in New Albany!

I have enjoyed teaching science for several years in middle school and love the transition to intermediate! I am so excited about the unique schedule our 6th grade teams will enjoy as we get to spend 80 minute blocks of time together exploring the world of science. Our location and blocking schedule will also allow us to spend time in our amazing outdoor classrooms in Swickard Woods!

My husband Eric is a Civil Engineer and he and I love spending time outdoors with our kids Maggie and Luke. Campfires, hiking, kayaking, and biking are some of our favorites. We also love exploring the Great Lakes and collecting beach glass, fossils, and rocks.

I want all my families that I work with to know that I believe in teaching each and every student from a whole child perspective. I encourage you to reach out and share with our teaching team, ask questions, and join me in the classroom to be a part of our learning together. I too am a mother and understand not only what happens in the classroom but what also occurs at home for many of our kids. I hope to promote the balance between school and home life and also help provide a strong transition as the students prepare to go to middle school. It is my goal to help fuel a passion for science as well as be a role model in exhibiting a caring and kind attitude toward one another this school year.
