• Attention - Grade 6 Parents
Coming April 21, 2022 - A discussion on Acceleration Options for Middle School.

Sixth grade parents are invited to a virtual presentation about the acceleration options available in the middle school. Please join the 7-12 Gifted Co-coordinators, Suzie Cooper and Susan Woodmansee, on April 21st at 10:30 am or 7:00 pm. They will discuss the following questions: What is acceleration? When is acceleration an appropriate option for your student? What acceleration options are available in the MS? How does the acceleration process work?  Viewers may watch the session below and may submit questions. A recording of the presentation will be available for those unable to attend.

    Ask a question.

New Albany-Plain Local School District has high expectations and a rigorous curriculum in all classes.  The staff at New Albany believes we can prepare every student for higher intellectual engagement by starting the development of skills and acquisition of knowledge as early as possible.  Addressed effectively, we can provide a powerful opportunity to help students acquire the knowledge, concepts, and skills needed to engage in a higher level of learning.  Students who desire to challenge themselves academically to an even higher level have the opportunity to request a subject acceleration.
