Welcome back! My name is Mr. Joseph Armpriester, and I have been employed by the Plain Local School District for the past twenty-five years. My educational background includes receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Wright State University, and I obtained a Master's Degree from Marygrove College. Also, I obtained additional licensure in the area of Gifted and Talented education from Ashland University.
I began my teaching career in Mad River Local Schools in Dayton, Ohio where I taught kindergarten and third grade. After moving to the Columbus area, I taught second grade in NAPLS prior to working as the 2-3 Gifted Intervention Specialist. I am currently serving as the K-6 Coordinator of Gifted Services. One way that I reach professionally, beyond the classroom, is through my role of President of the Plain Local Education Association as well as I coach the Middle School golf team.
When I am not teaching or doing school-related activities, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also have a passion for golf, reading, and outdoor activities.
