Hello! I’m Angelica Johnson and I teach 4th grade English Language Arts at New Albany Intermediate School. I have been working in education for over 15 years. For much of that time, I worked with primary students (ranging from prekindergarten-3rd) as a classroom teacher. For over 5 years, I served as an instructional literacy coach to guide teachers in literacy instruction.
I graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and then, from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a Master’s of Arts in Education. After I began teaching, I then earned my certification as a literacy collaborative trainer through the Ohio State University. I am truly passionate about teaching children to love the language arts.
I’ve always wanted to teach and I work very hard to be motivational, intentional and impactful in the lives of my students. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my three sons, Colin, Owen and Quin.
