I am passionate and honored to help children discover the joy of reading every day.

I attended Ashland University for my undergraduate work in Elementary Education, grades 1-8, and also for my Reading Certification. My teaching career began in Mansfield City Schools as a first grade teacher in 1999 before coming to New Albany Schools in 2001. Here in New Albany I was also a first grade classroom teacher. I received my Masters in Literacy through Ashland University in 2003. In 2010, I began my current position of a Reading Specialist.

Being a wife and mother of two children are my greatest joy. My other passions include spending time in nature, running, and relaxing with a good book.
