Matthew Ivoska

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Ivoska

This will be my 5th year teaching fourth grade language arts in New Albany. I also spent a year in the district as a student teacher, and previously worked in education as an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Prevention Specialist in Wood County and an academic counselor at The Ohio State University in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I’m originally from the Toledo, Ohio area, specifically a suburb called Rossford. I received my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and my teaching license through Ashland University.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My wife, Gabriela, and I have a son, Tony (3), and daughter, Isa (1). We enjoy hiking, canoeing, walking our dog, and hosting cookouts at our house.

This is going to be a great year! I’m excited to work with your child and welcome your participation and input. I have an open door policy and welcome your communications throughout the year. You are your child’s primary teacher. Let’s work together and make the most of their time in 4th grade!
