As a 1999 graduate of New Albany High School, I am proud to be teaching at my alma mater, though it has changed quite a bit since I was a student – there were 85 people in my graduating class! I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in History & Education from Otterbein College, a Master's Degree in Social Studies and Global Education from The Ohio State University, and a Master's Degree in History from Kent State University. Along with teaching history at NAHS I am also a member of the Senior Seminar team, and I am the coach of the In The Know trivia team. I love teaching history because I am able to see the interconnections between time, place, and people that brought us to where we are today. I especially love discussing primary sources with students, because they get to hear the voices of historical figures and discover how these people influenced world events.
