I am currently in my second decade of teaching after earning my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Bowling Green State University and my Master's Degree in Special Education from Northern Kentucky University. I also hold a K-12 administrative certificate from the University of the Cumberlands. Although I taught  various grades in both Kentucky and Ohio, the majority of my teaching career has been at the high school level. I currently teach English 10, British Literature,  and Senior Seminar. I believe my job is to not only help students succeed academically but to learn from each success and failure while they figure out who they are as individuals and as part of the collective group. Simply stated, I want each student to learn how to be independent and happy while contributing to our community and society.
