I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Coaching Education. I then earned a Master of Education degree in Secondary Math Education from Ohio State in 2007.
This is my 16th year in education. I spent two years teaching at Worthington Kilbourne High School and then seven years teaching 8th grade at New Albany Middle School. This will be my seventh year teaching Algebra I and Geometry at New Albany High School. I chose to become a math teacher because I like that there is an answer in math. But just like there are 10 different ways to get to New Albany, there are an infinite number of ways to get the solution in a math problem. There is not just one correct way to solve the problem. There might be ways that will get you where you want to go faster, but there isn’t a wrong way to get there.
In addition to my teaching duties, I am also an assistant coach for the New Albany Eagles football team. I coach the receivers. I live in New Albany with my wife of 15 years, May, and our seven-year old son, Logan.
