Engaging, Challenging, and Energized. These are three words that describe our seventh grade year. After teaching seventh grade for 18 years, I have tried to pull the material that has been the most successful at growing and exciting my students. Our curriculum begins with mythology and continues with highly awarded classical literature. Then, we wrap up with the Holocaust and poetry.
For the 18 years I have been teaching, I have been lucky enough to be in New Albany. I graduated in 1999 from BGSU and received my Masters from Otterbein in 2004. I have continued taking classes focusing on gifted education, technology, and best practices for middle school students.
Currently, I am teaching 7th grade, but since I have been hired, I have taught 6th, 8th, and 10th. Seventh grade is probably my favorite grade to teach because they have the independence of a high schooler and the enthusiasm for learning of an elementary student. Plus, they laugh at my jokes.
Looking forward to a wonderful year! Go Eagles!
