I have been a classroom teacher for 38 years, 36 in the Plain Local Schools. My goal each year is to help each one of my students become the best person & learner they can be! I love teaching 8th grade American History and strive daily to connect the past to the present. I also have coached Basketball, XC, Football, and Track as well as serving in many leadership capacities with PLEA and within our district as a whole. I'm a member of Who's Who of American Teachers and also was elected to the Mid State League Hall of Fame in 2006 for basketball coaching.

I'm currently the 8th grade girls basketball coach at NAMS. My family consists of my wife Debbie, sons Justin & Jeremy, daughter in law Haley, grandsons Grayson, Parker, Cooper and my two dogs Ivan & Amanda!
