I am excited to begin my 13th year at New Albany Middle School. During my tenure, I have taught special education (4 years) and Social Studies (entering 9th year). Currently, I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I graduated from Capital University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education. While subbing for a few years, I went to The Ohio State University and obtained my Special Education licensure. In December 2014, I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Masters Degree in School Administration. I am eager to get to know all my students and help them grow and be the best version of themselves.
Outside of the classroom, I also have chaperoned multiple international student trips, traveling from China to Peru to Greece, and Italy. In the summer of 2023, we will be traveling to Berlin, Prague, Krakow, and Budapest. Being able to bring the classroom curriculum alive in person to students is a great feeling and one that encourages me in my career. My wife and I have two children (ages 5 and 4) who keep us busy everyday. I enjoy reading, coaching my son’s little league sports teams, watching sports (I’m a huge Ohio State football fan) and spending time with friends and family.
