Ms. Gabelman

Hello! My name is Debbie Gabelman. I am excited to start my third year teaching fourth grade at New Albany Intermediate School.

I attended The Ohio State University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. For several years, I worked for a large consumer packaged goods company in a variety of roles including Customer Supply Chain Manager. Although I enjoyed many aspects of my first profession, I made the decision that I wanted a career that was more meaningful to me. There is nothing more rewarding to me than helping a child reach their full potential and become lifelong learners. After three years of attending college full time and substitute teaching, I completed Otterbein University’s Post Baccalaureate Early Childhood (Pk-3) Initial Licensure program and the 4/5 Generalist Endorsement. In the next few years, I intend to return to school to obtain a Masters in Education.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt, our children, and our golden retriever, Max. Our daughter, Bryce will be a freshman at The Ohio State University majoring in nursing. Our son, Ben, is a freshman in high school. He plays basketball, soccer and runs track and cross country. When I’m not cheering on kids at games or meets, I love to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
