Mr. Patterson

This is my ninth year teaching, My first seven years were at Dominion Middle School in Columbus City Schools. This is my second year at New Albany High School. I love challenging problems, and I am passionate about making math meaningful to my students.

I also taught engineering and outside the classroom, I coached the basketball, softball, and robotics teams. I am a Desmos Fellow, a Teacher Leadership Institute fellow, assessor, and facilitator, a TEDEd contributor, and a member of the Ohio Department of Education's Grade 8 and High School Functions teams.

A student in my classroom can expect to face challenging problems. Students can also expect to find an open and caring environment where their struggles are recognized and their questions encouraged.

I am married to my wife, Torie, of eight years. Torie is a kindergarten teacher. She is also the mother of our two boys: Coen and Crew. Coen enjoys puzzles, riding his bike, and popsicles. Crew enjoys smiling, bath time, and pondering the meaning of life. We live in Hebron with our dog, Brewski.
