  • What Parents Can Do To Help Prevent Vaping & Other Drug Use By Their Teen

    Parents will learn why teens do drugs, the early warning signs for involvement, parental monitoring, use of consistent discipline, taking a clear stand on drugs, family communication, and concerned parents can achieve results!   • NAMS Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

    Parent teacher conferences will occur Thursday, September 26 and Thursday, October 3 from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. Parents are invited to schedule a 15 minute conference with their child's teacher.   • AWS Girls' Tech Day

    Our local community partner Amazon Web Services will sponsor a Girls' Tech Day for Central Ohio in October. Girls' Tech Day, is a learning workshop emphasizing science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) for girls. The program is designed to help close the gender gap in technology by inspiring future builders, showcasing tech careers and women in the technology workforce, and introduce girls in underserved communities to STEM/STEAM.   • NAPLS presents Dr. Kristen Lee: Helping students manage stress

    Applying the R Factor is the focus of 2019-2020. The first topic is managing student stress and the district is bringing the Lead Faculty for Behavioral Science at Northeastern University in Boston, Dr. Kristen Lee Sept. 17.

Action Needed Checklist

  • Parents & Students - Please review the following to prepare for Back to School at NAMS. Direct links are provided below to complete the action needed items. 

    1. View Principal LeBeau's Welcome Message
    2. Log in to PowerSchool on or after August 7
      • Verify information in all Ecollect forms, including student, parent and emergency contacts
      • Enter student mobile number in eCollect (for Blackboard/Teacher Communication)
      • View Class Schedule
      • View Bus Stop Information (if applicable)
    3. Plan for Transportation
      • Bus, walk, bike, parent drop-off/pick-up 
    4. Review Student Handbook
    5. Review School Start Times & Schedules
    6. Find your ID badge or purchase another (Grades 8 only. Grade 7 will receive new ID badge at Schedule/Ipad Pick-Up.
    7. Submit Medication Forms (only if your child requires medication at school)
    8. All 7th graders required to have Tdap and Meningococcal vaccine before first day of school
      • Parents can submit verification of immunization to guy.1@napls or bring copy to Schedule/IPad Pick-UP and turn in at Health Services table. 
    9. Purchase School Supplies (List below or purchase at PTO sale at Schedule/Ipad Pick-Up.
    10. Deposit Funds in Student Lunch Account with 
    11. Have your picture taken at Schedule/IPad Pick-Up. Online Order Form. Use picture ID: ZR419883Q0 to order
    12. Join the NAMS PTO on-line at
    13. Attend the morning OR evening Schedule/IPad Pick-Up event.
