An “Afternoon of Shakespeare” brought students from Lola Elmer’s third grade class together with sophomores from Christine Chamberlain and Lori Carter’s classes on Wednesday, May 16, in the green space at Market Square.
Third grader students recited Sonnet 29, then they held a Reader’s Theatre and other activities in small groups. The tenth grade students shared their knowledge of Othello. They read the play, acted out scenes, and some students even brought props to share. The afternoon ended with a treat from Johnson’s Ice Cream.
Parting was such sweet sorrow…but the students enjoyed learning together!
