The highly dedicated and talented people within the departments of Custodial/Maintenance, Food Services, Security, Technology and Transportation are focused on doing their work as effectively and as efficiently as they can so that students can get the most from the high quality education provided by our teachers.
While providing a safe environment for our students is of paramount concern, the district also is deeply committed to providing a safe work environment for all of our staff members and visitors. A large part in the creation of that environment is providing our staff members with the knowledge they need to perform their work safely. To that end, we have contracted with Public School Works® to provide computer-based safety training on an array of topics. The system can be accessed by clicking on the following link: corp.publicschoolworks.com
In New Albany-Plain Local Schools we see the protection of the environment as one of our core beliefs. We not only teach students to be good stewards of the environment, but we also try to set the example ourselves. This commitment is evident not only in the wetlands and other outdoor learning spaces that are a part of the campus learning community, but in our district-wide recycling and conservation programs.
