On Sunday, December 2nd, the New Albany High School pool had new starting blocks installed that were privately funded by Keith and Cindy Berend, and designed by Joel Gundlach and Jay Gundlach, all of whom are swim team parents.
The new blocks were tested out by the swim team at their first home meet of the season on Tuesday, December 4th, against Dublin Jerome. The Eagles won that meet, building upon their first victory of the season on November 30th, in an away meet against Delaware Hayes.
The Board of Education was presented with the generous donation during its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night.
