Ohio High School Athletic Association girls’ state champions were recently honored by the Greater Columbus Sports Commission at The Women’s Sports Report breakfast.
The following New Albany students were honored on February 12, 2013 at the Columbus Convention Center.
- Karrington Pettiford-Winters – State Champion for 400 meter – Girls Track
- Cristina DiLorenzo and Francesca DiLorenzo – State Champions – Tennis Doubles
Columbus hosts many girls’ and women’s sporting events each year and knows the importance of competition in the lives of each individual. The Women’s Sports Report was established to honor the athletic successes and achievements of women and girls in Central Ohio and to celebrate the National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
