New Albany-Plain Local Schools Welcomes the Kindergarten Class of 2026; Pre-Registration begins February 1

January 28, 2013

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to the New Albany Elementary K-1!  The staff and I look forward to an exciting school year and we are pleased to have you as partners in your child’s educational journey.

Kindergarten Screening is a two part screening process.  The Registration/Health Screening will be April 9th & 10th at the McCoy Performing Arts Center and the Kindergarten Assessment Screening will be August 5th & 6th at the K-1  Elementary.  When parents check-in for their appointment in April they will be asked to schedule the August Assessment appointment at that time.  During the August appointment your child will be assessed by the Kindergarten teaching staff.  Your child needs to attend BOTH appointments.

  1. Kindergarten Registration & Health Screening – April 9 & 10 at McCoy Performing Arts Center
  2. Kindergarten Assessment Screening – August 5 & 6 at New Albany Elementary K-1

New Albany-Plain Local Schools is pleased to welcome the Class of 2026 to Kindergarten!  Online pre-registration for incoming Kindergarten students will open on Friday, February 1, 2013.  Kindergarten registration and health screenings will be held April 9 and 10 at the McCoy Center for the Arts, 100 West Granville Road, New Albany.  Families who move into the community following this timeline, may register on-line for the August 2 screening.
