New Albany 2-3 Principal Robin Ryan announces her retirement

July 12, 2012

Robin Ryan, who has served as the 2-3 Principal at New Albany 2-5 Elementary School, has announced her retirement from education.  Mrs. Ryan has been a part of the New Albany Schools family for the past nine years.  In total, Mrs. Ryan dedicated over 19 years of her career to education.

Earlier this spring, Mrs. Ryan was tapped by Superintendent April Domine to become the district’s Gifted Education Coordinator.   “Robin is a student centered educator that devoted many years of passionate dedication to the achievement and growth of our elementary students and we wish her all the best in this next chapter of her life.” The District Gifted Coordinator position is provided through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESC) and the district is currently reviewing options and next steps with the ESC at this time.

Leadership positions at the 2-5 elementary school were filled earlier this summer.  Diana Smith and Steve Lesco have been named assistant principals at New Albany 2-5 Elementary School.  They will work with Jen Denny, who is the district’s new 2-5 Principal as well as the K-5 Head of School.
