Students, firefighters partner on prom safety video

New coffee service blends students’ talents

New Albany High School sophomore Allyson Backiewicz loves to pour coffee.

She and four other special-needs students run Eagles Special Blend, a coffee shop established as part of a vocational project at the high school. The coffee shop serves faculty members, and it is designed to give the students hands-on experience running a business. Read More…

Wang to compete in national math competition

New Albany Students Raise $25K for Haiti Orphanage

In preparation for the November 29th, 2012, visit from Dr. Paul Farmer, New Albany students and parent volunteers raised $25,000 for an orphanage in Haiti.  Students sold bracelets and T-shirts with the theme “Hand in Hand with Haiti,” as well as purchased and decorated water backpacks to support the needs of impoverished people of the island nation.  Read more in the latest edition of This Week’s New Albany News.
