The New Albany-Plain Local School District identified at its February 25, 2013 Board meeting the search process for an individual to represent the Board of Education on the New Albany Joint Parks District Board.
The position is one of two school district representatives that serve three-year terms on the six person Joint Parks District (JPD) Board. The JPD Board consists of two representatives from New Albany-Plain Local School District, Plain Township & the City of New Albany. The JPD is a 401c3 Board that is a taxing authority and oversees the operations of our parks district led by director Dave Wharton.
The JPD typically meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 pm at the district’s office facility in Bevelhymer Park. The desired candidate is someone that is able to represent the district at the Parks District meetings and is able to report back to the Board on at least a quarterly basis so that our mutual goals are aligned and represented.
